Comic madness flows
Pow! The city in danger
The hero reborn
When I was younger (back in middle school) I took an art class. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but after the one semester class I didn’t take another art class again. I’m not really sure why especially since I always thought animation work and art was cool. Continue reading “My Artsy Life: Back to Art School”
I was surfing Tumblr today and found this horror story. It supposedly took place in El Paso, TX. If you have an hour and are into horror stories/movies/etc. you should give it a listen.
If you started following me in April,
it was probably because you thought I was a poet.
But that is not all I write about,
and now you’ll know it. Continue reading “A Poem for My #NaPoWriMo Followers”
Godzilla will be making its way back to the silver screen in just over a week! For some, this may be their first experience of the Kaiju King, so Slate decided to produce the short video above telling the shorthand history of Godzilla.
Godzilla has gone through many iterations, from force of nature to father of Minilla. If you have 3 minutes to spare watch this before seeing Godzilla do what he does best on the big screen.
Tomorrow is Saturday May 3rd, better known to comic fans as Free Comic Book Day! It’s not all about free comics though. It’s a great opportunity for parents to go out and introduce their children to comics.
Through graphic novels, children can be introduced to reading while getting to know those superheroes they have been seeing on the big screen. So if you have kids bring ’em out to your local comic shop. Some places will even be having events to make it fun for both kids and adults.
Never been to Free Comic Book day? No problem! Check out http://www.freecomicbookday.com/ a great source for newbies (Myself included! This will be my first FCBD and the first time I’ve gone into a comic book store in ages). There you can find out which comic books will be free as well as which comic shops will be participating.

Puts down the pen, into laziness succumbs.
“I’ll do it later,” but the time is never right.
Maybe just one more movie, or a funny site.
“I’ll do it later,” he recites again,
like a broken record, stuck on the refrain.
“I’ll do it now!” He at last begins to stir.
Maybe he won’t falter, else laziness recur.
